The biggest decision every scientist will make may be ''Industry or Academia?''

On Monday, 10/26/2020, Dr. Peter Bloomingdale discussed his journey in his presentation called, "From College to PhD to Industry Scientist: My Journey on a Road Less Traveled." In his presentation, Dr. Bloomingdale shared his story of how he found what he was passionate about, after dabbling in the fields of chemistry, physics, and more. He then offered educational advice for other ASC members who are currently in undergraduate or graduate school. Dr. Bloomingdale also shared some of his research findings while being a senior scientist at Merck Pharmaceuticals, and explained what it meant to be in the industry. At the end of the presentation, he held a Q&A session with the attendees.
